About
Keren Edelist

Keren Edelist (she/they) is lost in the forest.

She is: an actor and burgeoning director raised in Thornhill and living in Toronto.

Since graduating from George Brown College’s Theatre Performance Program in 2023, Keren has been pursuing acting in Theatre, Film&TV, Theatre Directing, and the artistic development of new works.

They have been delighted to be able to work on multiple new works and workshops since graduation, including playing Rooney in Featherhead (BirdBrain Theatre Collective), Directing Painting by Numbers (Fresh Palette Theatre), and playing Adamah Borealis in a workshop of Hands of Hypatia (Dandelion Theatre). She has also had the honour of collaborating with Museum of Toronto by playing Elizabeth Neufeld in their site-specific walking tour, Women of The Ward.

Keren believes art is for cracking open like an egg, clearing the cobwebs, being scared and doing it anyway. It's for laughter and community and that glimmer in the middle of a hard day! It's for social justice and change and confronting the way things are.

They are always raring to be in a rehearsal room, in any capacity. Catch them acting, directing, and assistant directing, with some exciting projects currently coming up Dandelion Theatre and Soup Can Theatre. :)

Pls say hi if you see her out and about. You can catch them frequenting thrift stores and wandering around, mildly lost. (Not too lost, not to worry.)
